Key specs to compare before buying
-
Check heating technology
You must decide between standard infrared and full spectrum options. The Maxxus Elite uses standard infrared heating, which targets deep tissue with far-infrared rays. The Llumeneres model offers full spectrum heat, combining near, mid, and far-infrared wavelengths. Full spectrum panels often warm the body faster and may provide a more intense sweat experience. If you prefer gentle, consistent warmth, standard infrared is sufficient. If you want broader heat coverage, choose the full spectrum version. Your choice depends on your heat tolerance and desired session intensity.
-
Verify wood construction
The Maxxus Elite is built with hemlock wood. Hemlock is a softwood known for its natural resistance to rot and insects. It also has a light, clean appearance that fits modern interiors. This material does not release strong odors when heated, making it ideal for sensitive users. You should check the wood type to ensure it aligns with your aesthetic preferences. Solid wood construction also affects how well the sauna retains heat. Verify that the interior finish is safe for high-temperature environments to ensure longevity and safety during daily use.
-
Assess audio capabilities
The Llumeneres model includes built-in audio features. This allows you to listen to music or guided meditations without needing external speakers. Integrated audio systems reduce clutter and keep the sauna interior clean. You should consider if sound enhances your relaxation routine. If you plan to use the sauna for mindfulness or entertainment, this feature adds significant value. Models without built-in audio may require you to place devices outside the unit. Check the product description to confirm if audio is included before making your final decision.
-
Review physical dimensions
You must measure your available floor space carefully. The Maxxus Elite is 72 inches wide and 25 inches deep, requiring a rectangular area. The Llumeneres is 42 inches wide and 48 inches deep, offering a more square footprint. Height is also critical; the Maxxus Elite is 68 inches tall, while the Llumeneres reaches 75 inches. Ensure you have clearance above the unit for ventilation and door opening. Incorrect measurements can lead to installation failures. Compare these dimensions against your room layout to guarantee a proper fit.
-
Consider occupancy needs
You should select a size that matches your typical usage. The Maxxus Elite is designed for three people, providing ample room for couples or small families. The Llumeneres is a two-person model, suitable for individuals or couples who prefer a tighter fit. Capacity affects how much heat is retained and how quickly the sauna warms up. A larger unit may take longer to reach optimal temperature but offers more comfort. Choose based on how many people will use the sauna simultaneously to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.
