Who it fits
Good fit for
This sauna suits individuals seeking a compact, single-user heat therapy solution. Its tent design and foldable chair make it ideal for small apartments or rooms where a traditional sauna cannot fit. The 1200W heater provides rapid warmth, while the red light therapy adds a distinct wellness feature. You will appreciate the remote control and timer for customized sessions. The easy-to-wipe interior and tool-free setup benefit users who want convenience without permanent installation.
Who should skip it
Look elsewhere if you need a sauna for two or more people. This unit is rated for one adult only, which limits social use. If you prefer traditional dry heat over steam, this may not meet your needs, as it relies on a 3L water tank. Users seeking advanced smart home integration should note the lack of app connectivity. Additionally, those who need a larger footprint for standing movement might find the 32-inch width restrictive for extended sessions.
Verdict: The iTHERAU Portable Infrared Steam Sauna offers a convenient, single-person heat therapy option with useful red light features. Its compact tent design and remote control make it a practical choice for small spaces.
Key specs explained
Heater Power: 1200W
This wattage indicates the steamer’s energy output. A 1200W unit heats water faster than lower-power models, reducing wait time before you can begin your session. You benefit from rapid warmth generation. When comparing home saunas, look for this power level to ensure consistent steam production without long delays.
Dimensions: 32" W x 32" D x 71" H
These measurements define the interior footprint and height. The 71-inch height accommodates most adults, allowing you to sit or stand comfortably. The 32-inch width provides adequate shoulder room. You can fit this tent in smaller rooms or corners. Compare these dimensions to ensure the unit fits your designated space.
Person Capacity: 1
This rating confirms the sauna is designed for single-user use. The interior space is optimized for one adult, ensuring proper heat retention and steam concentration. You do not need to share the unit. When shopping, note that multi-person saunas require significantly larger footprints and higher power outputs to maintain temperature.
Control Type: Remote control
This feature allows you to adjust settings without opening the tent. You can change temperature or timer levels while inside, maintaining consistent heat. This enhances comfort by preventing heat loss. Compare this to manual controls, which require exiting or reaching into the steam, potentially disrupting your relaxation session.
Heating Type: Steam
Steam heating uses water vapor to raise temperature and humidity. This type of sauna provides moist heat, which can feel gentler on the skin and respiratory system. You benefit from rapid heat transfer. Infrared saunas use dry heat. Choose steam if you prefer traditional humidity and faster warming sensations.
Design And Build Quality
According to the listing, the iTHERAU sauna uses a detachable frame made of thickened stainless steel tubes. This design supports the tent structure without requiring tools for assembly. The inner lining is crafted from waterproof and thermal insulation fabric. You can wipe this material dry after use, which helps maintain hygiene. The exterior finish is black, matching the general aesthetic of portable wellness equipment. These material choices prioritize durability and ease of maintenance for home environments.
The interior dimensions are 32 inches wide by 32 inches deep and 71 inches high. This layout accommodates one adult in a sitting or standing position. The unit includes a high load-bearing foldable chair with interior and exterior pockets. You can store small items like a phone or remote in these pockets during your session. The 3-liter water tank capacity allows for extended steaming periods before refilling. The 1200W heater powers the rapid steam generation.
Control is handled via a remote control, allowing you to adjust settings without breaking the seal. You can select from 15 temperature levels and set a timer for one to 90 minutes. Multiple safety protections, including earth leakage and dry heating prevention, are integrated into the steamer. The compact folding design enables easy storage and transport. This portability means you can set up the sauna in various locations within your home or take it on trips.
Setup And Daily Operation Guide
The iTHERAU sauna uses a detachable frame that requires no tools for assembly. You can construct the structure in a few minutes. The thickened stainless steel tubes provide a stable base for the tent. Once built, the design folds compactly for storage or transport. This portability allows you to move the unit easily within your home or to different locations.
Daily operation begins with filling the 3L water tank. The 1200W steamer generates steam rapidly, locking in warmth thanks to the thermal insulation fabric. You control the session using the included remote control. The interface offers 15 temperature levels and a timer ranging from 1 to 90 minutes. This allows you to customize the heat intensity and duration precisely.
Inside, the spacious interior measures 71 inches high by 32 inches wide and deep. It accommodates one adult in a standing or sitting position. A high load-bearing foldable chair is included for seating. The chair features interior and exterior pockets for storing small items like your phone or remote safely. The inner material is waterproof and easy to wipe dry after use, maintaining hygiene between sessions.
Safety features include earth leakage protection, dry heating prevention, and explosion-proof components. The 304 stainless steel inner lining adds durability. You also benefit from 660nm and 850nm red light therapy lamps during your sessions. These specs combine to create a controlled, safe environment for relaxation and detox purposes.
Before You Buy This Sauna
Before you buy this iTHERAU portable infrared sauna, consider your space and power needs. The unit requires a standard electrical outlet for its 1200W steamer. Ensure your room has adequate ventilation, as steam production is significant. You must also check the floor space for the 32x32 inch footprint. The tent folds for storage, but you need a dry area to prevent mold. Keep the inner lining clean by wiping it after each use. This model suits those who want quick setup and portability. It differs from fixed saunas by its tent design. If you prioritize flexibility over permanent installation, this option fits. Verify that your home environment supports steam safety. The remote control adds convenience, but keep it dry. Always follow the timer settings to prevent dry heating. This sauna integrates well with red light therapy for relaxation. It is a practical choice for small homes or apartments where space is limited. Check compatibility with your existing wellness routine before purchasing.
