Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider this sauna if you have limited floor space but still want a dedicated infrared heating zone. The 39.5-inch width fits well in smaller rooms, hallways, or dedicated wellness corners. The dual-wall design helps maintain consistent temperatures without excessive energy use. If you value added features like chromotherapy lighting and built-in Bluetooth speakers, this unit delivers those extras without adding bulk. It suits individuals or couples seeking a gentle, consistent heat experience in a modest footprint.
Who should skip it
You might want to look elsewhere if you need a sauna for three or more people. The internal dimensions are sized specifically for two occupants, and the capacity is not listed as larger. If you prefer traditional wood-burning heat, this infrared model will not meet that preference. Additionally, if you require extensive digital connectivity beyond basic Bluetooth audio, the LED control panel offers limited functionality. Those needing a larger footprint or different heating technology should explore other options.
Verdict: The JNH Lifestyles Joyous is a solid choice for small spaces requiring efficient infrared heat. Its compact size and dual-wall design make it practical for most homes.
Key specs explained for this sauna
Person Capacity: 2
This unit seats two people. You need enough room for both occupants to sit comfortably without touching the walls. If you plan to use the sauna alone often, this capacity still works. However, if you frequently host guests or have a larger household, you might want a three-person model. Check the interior width to ensure your seating preference fits well.
Heating Type: Infrared (Carbon fiber)
Carbon fiber heaters emit far-infrared radiation that warms your body directly rather than just heating the air. This allows for a more comfortable session at lower ambient temperatures. You get consistent heat distribution across the interior. Carbon fiber panels also tend to heat up faster than traditional emitters. This type of heating is generally more energy-efficient for home use.
Wood Type: Canadian Hemlock
Canadian Hemlock is a lightweight, aromatic wood that resists warping in humid environments. It provides a natural, clean look that blends with most home decor. The wood is durable and does not splinter easily. You benefit from a pleasant scent that enhances relaxation. Compare this to cedar, which has a stronger aroma, or fir, which is often less expensive but may not last as long.
Dimensions: 39.5" W x 47.3" D x 75" H
The footprint is roughly 3.3 feet wide and 4 feet deep. This compact size fits in smaller rooms, closets, or spare bedrooms. The height allows most adults to sit upright comfortably. Measure your available space carefully, including doorways for delivery. This size is ideal for apartments or homes with limited square footage compared to larger cabin-style units.
Features: Chromotherapy light, Bluetooth speakers
Chromotherapy lights use color to influence mood, helping you relax or energize before your session. Integrated Bluetooth speakers let you play music or podcasts without external devices. You can control these features via the LED panel. This setup reduces clutter and simplifies your routine. It is useful if you want a fully immersive relaxation experience without needing extra electronics.
Design and Build Quality
According to the listing, this sauna is crafted from Canadian Hemlock wood. This material choice gives the interior a natural wood finish that appears sturdy yet warm. The dual-wall construction is noted as thinner than standard models, which helps keep the unit compact. You get a footprint of 39.5 inches wide and 47.3 inches deep. The total height reaches 75 inches. This size fits comfortably in most indoor rooms without dominating the space. The unit weighs 250 pounds, so you will need a floor that can support that load. You should also plan for a moving path wide enough to bring it inside.
The layout is designed for two people. You sit facing the heaters, which are placed to distribute heat evenly. The control panel uses LED indicators for simple operation. You can adjust settings without complex menus. The listing also mentions a built-in Bluetooth audio system. This allows you to connect your phone or tablet for music or podcasts. A chromotherapy light is included to set the mood. These features are integrated directly into the cabinetry. You do not need to buy separate speakers or lamps. The design keeps everything contained within the unit for a clean look.
Setup And Daily Use Guide
The listing describes this sauna as easy to assemble, which suggests you can set it up in your home without professional help. Its footprint measures 39.5 inches wide and 47.3 inches deep, with a height of 75 inches. You should ensure your indoor space can accommodate these dimensions comfortably. The unit weighs 250 pounds, so you need a floor that can support this load. Placement is strictly for indoor use, as the materials are not rated for outdoor exposure.
Daily operation relies on intuitive LED controls. You can adjust settings directly on the panel without needing a separate remote. The heating system uses seven carbon fiber far infrared heaters. These are placed strategically to provide even heat distribution. This means you receive consistent warmth throughout the session rather than hot spots.
For entertainment, the sauna includes a built-in Bluetooth audio system. You can connect your phone or tablet to play music or podcasts. This feature integrates directly into the unit, so you do not need extra speakers. Additionally, a chromotherapy light is included. You can use these color therapy lights to adjust the mood of your session. The LED controls likely allow you to switch these lights on or off. The dual-wall construction helps retain heat efficiently, which may reduce the time needed to reach your desired temperature. This compact design fits well in smaller rooms, making it suitable for apartments or spare bedrooms.
Before You Buy This Sauna
You need a sturdy floor that supports 250 pounds. The unit weighs significantly more than many portable options. Ensure your indoor space has adequate ventilation, as infrared saunas still generate ambient heat. You must have a nearby electrical outlet for the Bluetooth audio system. The listing does not mention a dedicated exhaust fan, so room airflow matters. You should check your ceiling height, as the sauna stands 75 inches tall. This model fits well in smaller rooms but requires clearance for door access. Unlike larger 1-person units, this sauna prioritizes compactness over volume. You will need to wipe down the Canadian Hemlock wood after each use to prevent sweat buildup. The chromotherapy lights require no special maintenance, but the wood finish needs gentle care. If you prefer a sauna with built-in steam generation, this infrared model does not offer that feature. It suits those who want a simple, heat-focused experience without complex plumbing or steam generators.
Check before you buy
- Verify your floor can hold 250 pounds safely.
- Confirm your room has proper ventilation for heat.
- Ensure ceiling height exceeds 75 inches.
- Check for a nearby electrical outlet for Bluetooth.
