Who it fits
Good fit for

The four-person capacity and vertical design make it suitable for patios or gardens where space is available. The 6KW heater ensures you can reach comfortable temperatures efficiently. The natural cedar scent adds to the relaxing atmosphere. It is ideal for users who prefer a classic, wood-built sauna over modern infrared options.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you need a compact indoor unit, as this model is designed for outdoor placement only. The listing notes that sauna stones are not included and must be purchased separately. If you want a complete out-of-the-box setup without buying additional stones, this may not be the right choice. Key Specs for This Barrel Sauna
Heater Power: 6KW
This power rating indicates a robust heating system. A 6KW unit generates significant heat, allowing the cabin to reach target temperatures efficiently. You will benefit from faster warm-up times, especially in cooler weather. When shopping, compare this to lower wattage models that may struggle to maintain heat in large or poorly insulated spaces. This spec ensures consistent performance for regular use.
Person Capacity: 4
The listing states this sauna holds four people. This capacity suits small families or groups who enjoy shared relaxation sessions. The vertical barrel design maximizes floor space to accommodate multiple users comfortably. When comparing models, check if the internal dimensions support your group size without feeling cramped. This spec helps you determine if the unit fits your social wellness routine.
Wood Type: Cedar
Cedar wood is known for natural durability and resistance to decay. This material provides excellent thermal insulation, helping retain heat while keeping the exterior cooler to the touch. You will appreciate the natural aroma released when the wood warms. When shopping, consider cedar against softer woods that may require more maintenance. This spec highlights the material's longevity and aesthetic appeal for outdoor settings.
Placement: Outdoor
This unit is designed for external installation in gardens or patios. It requires a stable, level surface and proper ventilation away from structures. You must ensure the location meets local zoning and electrical codes for outdoor equipment. When comparing, note that indoor saunas often have different insulation needs. This spec confirms the build is suitable for weather exposure, assuming proper site preparation.
Design and Build Overview
According to the listing, this unit features a vertical barrel design constructed from imported red cedar. The wood is untreated, which provides natural thermal insulation and durability for year-round outdoor placement. As the cedar warms, it releases a traditional aromatic scent. You should note that sauna stones are required for operation but are not included in the package.
The dimensions are 63 by 62.99 by 78.7 inches. This footprint creates a spacious interior that comfortably accommodates four people. The vertical layout offers distinct seating areas, allowing for shared wellness moments or private relaxation. The cedar construction ensures the cabin maintains heat efficiently, making it suitable for gardens or patios.
Control features include built-in five-color LED lighting. You can adjust these modes via a remote control to set the desired ambiance. The design prioritizes a calming atmosphere for reading or unwinding. The barrel shape and cedar finish contribute to a traditional aesthetic that blends with outdoor environments. This build quality supports consistent heating performance when paired with the specified 6KW heater.
Setup and Daily Operation Guide
Setting up this Royal Saunas unit requires preparing an outdoor space that can support its footprint. The listing provides dimensions of 63 inches by 62.99 inches by 78.7 inches. You need a level surface for the vertical barrel design. The construction uses untreated red cedar, which means you should ensure the wood is protected from direct ground moisture to maintain its thermal insulation properties. Placement is strictly for outdoor use on patios or in gardens.
Daily operation centers on the 6KW Harvia electric heater. You must connect this traditional electric heater to a compatible power source to generate heat. The listing notes that sauna stones are required for operation but must be purchased separately. You will need to load these stones into the heater before use to create the proper steam and heat distribution. The 6KW power rating ensures efficient warming, so you can expect the cabin to reach your desired temperature relatively quickly.
Once heated, you can adjust the atmosphere using the built-in LED lighting. The system offers five color modes. You control these lights via the included remote control. This allows you to change the ambiance without leaving your seat. The vertical design accommodates four people, so you can share the space with family or friends. The natural cedar scent becomes more pronounced as the wood warms, adding to the traditional sauna feel. You simply sit, relax, and adjust the light settings as needed for your preference.
Before You Buy This Barrel Sauna
You should verify your electrical setup before installation. This unit requires a dedicated 6KW circuit. Standard household outlets will not support the Harvia heater. You need a qualified electrician to ensure your panel can handle the load safely. Also, remember that sauna stones are not included. You must purchase them separately to operate the heater. The cedar wood is untreated, so you will need to apply a protective sealant periodically to maintain durability against outdoor weather. While this vertical design saves floor space, check your gate widths. The 63-inch width may not fit through standard doors. Compare this cedar option against other models in our 1 guide. If you prefer infrared heat, this traditional electric unit may not suit your needs. However, for authentic aromatic heat in a backyard setting, it offers a robust solution.
Check before you buy
- Confirm you have a dedicated 6KW electrical circuit installed.
- Purchase sauna stones separately, as they are not included.
- Measure gate and doorway widths to ensure the 63-inch unit fits.
