Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider this sauna if you have limited space and need a portable solution. The tent design allows you to move it from room to room easily. The remote control lets you adjust settings without breaking your relaxation. The included folding chair provides a stable seat. If you want a quick setup that takes five minutes, this kit fits your needs. The insulation helps keep the heat inside during shorter sessions.
Who should skip it
You should look at another option if you need a traditional wood-fired or electric cabin sauna. This unit is a tent, not a rigid structure. It may not provide the same structural rigidity as a built-in sauna. If you require multiple users, the single-person capacity is a limitation. The tent material may not offer the same aesthetic appeal as wooden models. Buyers seeking heavy-duty, permanent installations should choose a different product.
Verdict: The Smartmak 1-Person Far Infrared Sauna Tent offers a portable, remote-controlled heating solution for solo users. Its foldable design and insulation make it suitable for small spaces.
Key specs explained
Dimensions: 33.88" x 33.88" x 66.59"
The interior footprint is roughly square, with a height of about 66.6 inches. This compact size fits in smaller rooms or corners where traditional cabins cannot go. You can move the tent easily between rooms. The height allows most adults to sit comfortably on the included chair. Check your ceiling clearance to ensure the tent fits without touching the roof.
Heating Type: Far infrared
Far infrared heaters warm your body directly rather than heating the air. This allows for lower ambient temperatures, which feels less intense than a traditional wood-fired sauna. The heat penetrates tissues deeply for relaxation. This method is often preferred for those who find high heat uncomfortable. It provides a gentle, full-body warming experience suitable for recovery.
Control Type: Remote control
A remote lets you adjust time and temperature without breaking the tent seal. You stay inside while changing settings, maintaining consistent warmth. This avoids the draft caused by opening zippers to reach controls. It adds convenience for adjusting sessions without interruption. Ensure you keep the remote accessible but safe from heat sources during use.
Person Capacity: 1
This unit is designed for a single user. The interior space is tight, prioritizing heat retention and portability over roominess. It is ideal for solo relaxation or small spaces. Two people cannot fit comfortably. If you need a sauna for a partner or family, look for a two-person model. This spec ensures you choose the right size for your needs.
Tent Design and Build Quality
According to the listing, this unit uses a tent-style design rather than a rigid cabin. The structure relies on PVC pipes that are described as structurally stable and resistant to deformation. This choice allows you to install the sauna in about five minutes. You can move the unit from room to room without difficulty. The footprint is roughly square, measuring 33.88 inches by 33.88 inches, with a height of 66.59 inches. This compact size fits into smaller spaces where traditional saunas cannot go.
The fabric is listed as a five-layer insulation with a waterproof finish. This thick material helps retain heat effectively while keeping the exterior cool to the touch. A front removable window lets you breathe fresh air if you feel uncomfortable. You do not need to unzip the entire tent to get air. Double-sided zippers provide easy access. Two side pockets are included to keep your hands free for reading or using a phone.
Controls are handled via a remote, allowing you to adjust time and temperature without breaking your session. A foldable chair with non-slip feet is included. The chair features an upgraded support bar for stability. The entire unit is finished in black. This design prioritizes portability and quick setup over permanent installation.
Setup And Daily Use Guide
Setting up this tent-style sauna is designed to be quick. The listing states that installation takes approximately five minutes. You assemble the PVC pipe frame, which provides structural stability. The material is described as resistant to deformation, ensuring the shape holds during use. Once assembled, the unit measures 33.88 inches by 33.88 inches with a height of 66.59 inches. You can move the entire structure from room to room without difficulty due to its portable nature. The tent features double-sided zippers for easy entry and exit. This design allows you to access the interior without struggling with complex doors. Inside, you have a foldable chair with upgraded support bars and non-slip feet. This chair is stable during heating sessions but can also be folded for daily storage or use outside the sauna. Temperature and time settings are managed via a remote control. You can adjust these parameters without leaving the tent. The fabric offers five layers of insulation to retain heat effectively. If you need fresh air, the front window is removable and can be opened directly. Two side pockets allow you to store books or a phone, keeping your hands free. The unit uses far infrared heating to warm the interior. This method provides a comfortable environment for relaxation. The compact footprint means it fits in smaller spaces where traditional saunas cannot go. You simply plug it in, adjust the remote, and begin your session. The design prioritizes convenience and portability for home use.
Before You Buy This Sauna
Owning this tent-style sauna requires a few practical adjustments. First, verify your electrical outlet. The listing does not specify wattage, so you must ensure your circuit can handle the load without tripping breakers. Check the height options carefully. The base model is 66.59 inches tall, but taller versions exist. If you are over six feet, the standard height may feel cramped. You need to clear space for the 33.88-inch footprint. The tent folds flat for storage, which is useful if you lack a dedicated room. Keep the PVC pipes clean. Dust can accumulate in the joints, so wipe them down regularly. The fabric should be spot-cleaned to maintain its five-layer insulation. This unit sits apart from rigid cabins. It suits renters or those with limited square footage. It does not replace a full sauna room but offers a portable alternative for quick relaxation sessions. You get what you pay for in terms of durability versus a permanent structure.
Check before you buy
- Confirm your electrical circuit can handle the heater load.
- Check the height option if you are taller than six feet.
- Ensure you have a flat floor area for the 34-inch footprint.
- Verify the tent fits through your doorways for easy access.
