Key specs for the Lugano
Heating Type: Infrared (9 carbon heating elements)
This sauna uses nine carbon heating panels rather than quartz tubes. Carbon emits lower frequency infrared heat, which penetrates tissue more deeply. This allows you to reach a comfortable sweating temperature with less ambient air heat. You may find this more tolerable if you are sensitive to high air temperatures. The number of elements ensures even heat distribution across the interior space for consistent warming.
Wood Type: Canadian hemlock
Canadian hemlock is a softwood chosen for its natural resistance to rot and decay. It does not require heavy chemical sealants, which reduces the risk of off-gassing strong odors during your first few sessions. The wood provides good insulation, helping the unit retain heat efficiently. You will notice a clean, natural scent. This material is durable and suitable for home environments where air quality matters.
Person Capacity: 3
The interior dimensions are designed to accommodate three adults sitting side by side. This capacity makes the unit suitable for couples or small families who wish to share the session. You must ensure there is enough floor space in your home to allow for proper ventilation around the unit. The compact footprint fits well in smaller rooms while still providing room for multiple users to relax together.
Features: Low EMF
Electromagnetic fields are generated by electrical components in the sauna. Low EMF ratings indicate reduced exposure to these fields during operation. Some users prefer this specification due to health concerns regarding long-term EMF exposure. While individual sensitivity varies, this feature offers a layer of precaution. You can compare this rating against other infrared models to find the lowest available EMF output for your specific comfort level.
Design and Build Details
According to the listing, the Dynamic Lugano uses Canadian hemlock wood for its construction. This natural material is chosen for its durability and resistance to warping in high heat. The exterior finish is described as carbon, which likely refers to the color or coating of the panels rather than the wood itself. Hemlock is a common choice for home saunas because it holds up well over time without requiring heavy maintenance. You get a structure that is built to last through repeated heating cycles.
The unit is designed for three people, with interior dimensions that fit comfortably within a small footprint. The exterior measurements are sixty inches wide, forty-five inches deep, and seventy-five inches high. You should add about four and three-tenths inches to the width if you account for the roof overhang. This compact size makes it suitable for tighter spaces like bedrooms or spare rooms. The low profile design keeps the overall height manageable for standard ceilings.
Controls and features are integrated into the build. The sauna includes a music system with Bluetooth capability and two dynamic speakers with a pre-amp. Note that a radio is not included in the package. Inside, you will find a reading and chromotherapy lighting system. These elements add convenience and ambiance without requiring external devices. The layout is straightforward, focusing on the nine carbon heating elements and the wooden interior.
Setup and Everyday Use Guide
Delivery arrives curbside, so you will need to move the unit into your chosen room. The exterior dimensions measure 60 inches wide by 45 inches deep by 75 inches tall. You must add 4.3 inches for the roof overhang when planning your space. Ensure you have enough clearance for ventilation and access.
Assembly involves putting together the hemlock panels. Canadian hemlock is durable and resists warping, which helps maintain structural integrity during daily heating cycles. The interior features an LED lighting system with chromotherapy options. You can adjust this reading light to suit your preference before starting a session.
For entertainment, the unit includes a music system with two dynamic speakers and a pre-amp. It supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to stream audio from your phone or tablet. Note that a radio is not included in the package. You will need to provide your own audio source.
Operation is straightforward. The nine carbon heating elements warm the cabin efficiently. Carbon panels provide steady infrared heat without excessive noise. You can sit comfortably with two other people in the 3-person capacity. The low EMF design means the electromagnetic fields remain minimal, which is a practical consideration for sensitive users. Regular use involves turning on the heaters and enjoying the heat. The natural wood construction requires no special cleaning agents, just standard wiping with a dry cloth.
Before You Buy This Sauna
This model fits well into smaller rooms, but you must verify your space carefully. The exterior width is 60 inches, with a depth of 45 inches and a height of 75 inches. Remember to add 4.3 inches for the roof overhang when measuring your area. Since delivery is curbside, you will need a plan to move the unit inside. You should also check your home’s electrical circuit. Infrared saunas draw significant power, so ensure your wiring can handle the load for nine carbon heating elements. The included Bluetooth music system requires your own device. Keep the Canadian hemlock wood clean with a dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that might damage the natural finish. Compared to larger three-person units, this low-profile design saves floor space. It suits those prioritizing compact dimensions over high seating capacity. Always confirm your room’s ceiling height allows for the 75-inch structure. This practical guide helps you decide if the Lugano matches your specific room constraints and usage habits.
Check before you buy
